The Envoy Advisors management team combines several unique and highly differentiated experience sets. The backgrounds include: venture capital, operations, investment banking, strategy consulting, corporate development, internal M&A, and manufacturing.

Ned Hazard
Ned heads up finance and administration for Envoy Ventures and is currently serving as the President of Freitas Equipment. He is also a Managing Director of Envoy Advisors. Ned has worked throughout his career in corporate finance and strategic development for a vast array of companies. Ned has served as a trusted advisor to several businesses - acting in a variety of capacities including: Outsourced CFO, buy-side M&A advisor, business planning and development, and operational improvement consulting. Ned has successfully worked with Envoy's clients to institute effective financial controls and processes to better manage their business.

Prior to founding Envoy, Ned worked in strategy at Converge. At Converge, Ned was responsible for developing new and innovative service offerings. Ned's projects helped Converge limit revenue volatility, and better align the business operations with the interests of Converge's customer base. Additionally, he worked with the sales and marketing and finance team to develop new products, manage pilot programs, develop short and long-term budgets/financial plans, and create funding strategies for Converge.

Prior to Converge, Ned worked in Business Development at VerticalNet where he was responsible for sourcing, negotiating and closing buy side mergers and acquisition projects for their NECX subsidiary. In addition to the mergers and acquisition work, Ned developed strategic partnerships and alliances to support revenue and profitable growth within the business.

Before joining VerticalNet, Ned worked for a large regional brokerage firm in their Investment Banking Group. At Advest, Ned worked with small and mid-sized corporations as a financial advisor in private and public capital raising, mergers and acquisitions, and business valuations.

Ned is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), and is a graduate of Dartmouth College with a degree in Economics and a minor in Engineering.

Dennis Kim
Dennis is a Managing Director of Envoy Advisors and is currently serving as the President of Sterling Linen Services. With a diverse background in manufacturing and distribution businesses and a working knowledge of world class management techniques Dennis has been successful in rethinking how value is delivered in the service industry.

Dennis joined Envoy Advisors in 2004. During his tenure, Dennis has provided world class operational consulting to Fortune 100 companies in a variety of industries such as automotive, telecommunications, aerospace and Internet services. As a senior advisor, Dennis has provided operational due diligence services and has led process improvement efforts. In his most recent consulting engagement, Dennis provided manufacturing consulting services to a $4.5 billion retailer in the food service industry. In this capacity, Dennis facilitated the adoption of corporate strategies by improving manufacturing operations. Dennis has been instrumental in providing expert consulting services that has enabled the deployment of new products in a cost effective, coordinated manner.

Prior to joining Envoy, Dennis worked for Yomo Consulting a leading operations-management consulting firm located in Farmington, CT. Dennis worked as a team member and trained under senior Yomo consultants doing hands-on Toyota Production System implementations. The scope of work included establishment of work processes, production planning, product design, distribution and logistics. Dennis's abilities and successes allowed him to serve as a project leader and coach clients on how to restructure their business to manufacture products and deliver services more efficiently.
